Mercedes and Buick Also Rank in New Consumer Survey

May 2009 (Medialink) – In the midst of bailouts and restructuring in the auto industry, a new survey is revealing the brands owners are most satisfied with.

For the second year in a row, Cadillac was selected as the top brand in overall vehicle satisfaction in a survey of new buyers. AutoPacific’s 2009 Vehicle Satisfaction Awards measure how satisfied owners are with their new car or light truck in comfort, safety and the overall purchase/lease experience. The survey reflected a significant change in consumer buying habits over the last year, like increased research to get the most value for their money.

Rounding out the top five were Lexus, Mercedes, Lincoln and Buick.

One of the Most Highly Anticipated Vehicle Launches of the Decade

Wednesday, May 20th, 2009

Source: General Motors

May 2009 (Medialink) – Since its dramatic unveiling at the 2006 Detroit Auto Show and its high-profile acting debut in the first “Transformers” movie as Bumblebee, the all-new 2010 Chevy Camaro has been the most anticipated new car in a decade, and it’s finally here.

For the last year Chevy dealers have been taking deposits on the new Camaro. More than 14,000 people, most of whom haven’t even seen the car in person, not to mention taken it for a test drive, will soon be receiving their cars.

The design is very faithful to the original concept that inspired Hollywood director Michael Bay to make it the hero of the 2007 summer box-office hit movie and it also acknowledges the Camaro’s heritage, particularly the famous 1969 Camaro.

The 2010 Camaro’s MSRP starts at $22,995 for a 300hp V-6 that gets 29 highway miles to the gallon, with Bluetooth phone and USB connectivity, a Boston Acoustics audio system, OnStar, and XM satellite radio, and ranges up to a 426 horsepower V-8. Rick Hendrick, NASCAR owner and Chevrolet Dealer, says based on the waiting lists at his dealerships the new Camaro will appeal to a very wide demographic.

Many Chevrolet dealers have had to stop taking deposits for the new Camaro due to the high demand, but you can still catch it in “Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen” coming out at the end of June, and in Chevy showrooms nationwide.
