“I’m a former customer service guy and I know when I run into great service people. You are lucky to have one in Aida Sosa. I’m nomally pretty organized but I wasn’t in my first few contact with ‘Ida. In one conversation, she had to reenter a policy that I asked her to delete and then I canged my mind. I apologized but she said there was no problem. She meant it, too. It’s nice to work with her.

Thanks for everything,

Mike”

That’s when you notice the lights, the police officers, the makeshift holding stations, the tow trucks – you’ve been caught in a state-sponsored DUI checkpoint.

New General Motors Laboratory will Accelerate Advanced Battery Technologies and Speed the Development of Electric Vehicles

American drivers may be one step closer to getting behind the wheel of an electric car. In an effort to expand battery research and expedite the introduction of electrically driven vehicles, General Motors announced the opening of The Global Battery Systems Lab.

The state-of-the-art facility is the size of seven basketball courts and is the largest in the United States. Capable of testing all current battery systems, the lab will speed the development of hybrid, plug-in and extended-range electric vehicles, including the Chevrolet Volt. In fact, more than half of the lab is dedicated to testing the electrochemical battery cells and their enclosures.

A team of more than 1,000 engineers will work on energy alternatives and advanced technologies that reduce dependence on petroleum, improve fuel economy and reduce emissions; putting cleaner, more efficient cars on the road more quickly and affordably.

Transformers Star Drives the New Camaro at the Brickyard

Josh Duhamel, aka, Captain Lennox from the soon-to-be released summer blockbuster “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”, will lead the field with the pace car in this year’s Indy 500. But the star won’t be driving Bumblebee, the film’s heroic Autobot; instead he’ll be behind the wheel of the all-new 2010 Camaro SS.

This year the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway is celebrating its centennial, while Chevrolet celebrates its 20th time pacing “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.” The famous “Brickyard” will be reserved just for Pace Car practice and although normal pacing duties call for around 90mph, Duhamel could push the Camaro to speeds of over 100mph.
