Insure Your Motorcycle During Winter Storage

Progressive has launched a new Winter Layup Program for your motorcycle instead of canceling your policy. You can temporarily reduce selected coverages such as Bodily Injury and Collision during the winter season since your motorcycle will most likely be in storage. However you can still select Comprehensive coverage so your bike is protected from fire or theft.

Progressive will automatically notify you when they increase the coverages to their original amounts either on March 1, 2012, or April 1, 2012 based on your preference. You will not have to contact your agent. Progressive will also send you a hard-copy mailing of the coverage reductions, and then again before the coverages are reinstated. (some states will require you to sign new coverage selection forms. Progressive will handle that with you directly).  The Winter Layup Program is not offered in California or Rhode Island.
